Fitness Centre Supervisor – Part-time

We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Part-Time Fitness Centre Supervisor to join our team. This position offers flexible scheduling, approximately ~25 hours per week, including holidays and on-call shifts and shifts coverage as needed.

Qualified candidates may have the opportunity to take on personal training hours in addition to Fitness Centre duties.

  • Duties & Responsibilities

  • Hire, coordinate scheduling and support Fitness Attendants

  • Filling in for staff when coverage is needed

  • Oversee staff performance, provide guidance, and ensure new and ongoing training is effective

  • Foster team building and a positive, healthy work environment

  • Handle equipment issues, repairs, and Member concerns

  • Plan and run weekly or monthly activities, including youth orientations, exercise sessions, and newsletters featuring fun facts, new exercises, and nutrition trends, etc.

  • Develop and manage seasonal programming

  • Host and schedule youth and adult orientations

  • Perform other Fitness Centre Attendant duties as required

  • Other related duties and tasks as assigned by Management

  • Requirements & Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Positive, personable, and outgoing attitude

  • Strong hospitality and customer service skills, committed to top-of-the-line service

  • Organized and detail-oriented

  • Ability to multi-task and have a hands-on approach

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and resolve conflicts

  • Provide constructive feedback to guide and coach staff

  • Fitness Certification (BCRPA, ACE, ACSM, etc.)
