Scope of our operation

Approximately 400 daily flights operated. Approximately 70 destinations across Canada and the United States. 8.3 million passengers carried annually.

Jazz Pilot Bases

Jazz operates from four bases:
Montreal (YUL), Toronto (YYZ), Calgary (YYC), and Vancouver (YVR). New hires will be assigned to any one of these locations based on operational requirements. Base assignments are communicated on the second day of Jazz's ground school.

Competitive First Officer salary starting at $67.57 per credit hour. Daily expense allowance (on average $800–$1000 tax free per month).

Qualifications

Licensing & Ratings

  • Valid Transport Canada Commercial Pilot Licence.
  • Valid Transport Canada Multi‑Engine rating.
  • Valid and current Transport Canada Group1 Instrument Rating; must currently meet instrument recency requirements. Must have passed the IATRA within the preceding 24 months or have passed the ATPL written examination.
  • Candidates must meet the Transport Canada English proficiency standard.

Medical & Security Requirements

  • Valid Transport Canada Class1 Medical.
  • Must be able to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).

Citizenship & Travel Eligibility

  • Must hold a current passport at time of hire.
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident without restrictions.
  • If a Permanent Resident, must be able to obtain and maintain crew visa documentation required to operate aircraft within the USA.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum of 500 hours total flying time.
