Airfield Operations Specialist at YVR

YVR is seeking full-time Airfield Operations Specialists to work within its Airfield Operations Department. Candidates will ensure the safety of runways, taxiways, and aprons at one of Canada’s busiest airports. This role involves precision monitoring, equipment operation, and proactive problem solving across various airfield projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct surface inspections and manage asphalt and concrete repairs

• Control Foreign Object Debris using specialized equipment

• Operate heavy equipment for maintenance and snow removal

• Oversee storm water drainage and road safety systems

• Assist with equipment maintenance and support irregular operations

Requirements:

• Two years of relevant experience and a high school diploma

• Ability to operate heavy equipment and tools safely

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and judgment skills

• Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brake endorsement

• Clear Driver’s Abstract and fitness maintenance commitment
