Bus Dispatcher

Come join us at the Vancouver Cruise Terminal to work the 2022 Cruise Ship Season. What you will be doing

• The dispatcher will manage the flow of bus traffic for disembarking and embarking buses at the Cruise Ship Terminal
• Communicate with Bus Company to ensure all is in order
• Note when the buses arrive and inform drivers of their duties for the day
• Communicate with Supervisors in the baggage rooms to determine when the transfers will be at the bus bay
• Load the buses in an orderly and timely fashion for transfer to airport
• When the bus is full send to the airport and notify the Airport Team that bus is on the way
• Communicate with the Airport Team at the airport to ensure that there are sufficient buses to load embarking passengers
• Communicate with Longshore to determine where the luggage will dropped - dock or cruise ship level
• Complete all necessary paperwork for the day

This is a seasonal position from June to November

• Dispatch experience is an asset
• Proven customer service experience
• Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize within tight timelines
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Basic computer skills
• Speak, read and write English is a must - other languages a plus
• Able to obtain a Port Pass - Intercruises provides assistance with application
• Legally permitted to work in Canada
• Able to work a Day shift including weekends and Holiday
