Furnishing Apprentice – Vancouver Facility
West Jet is currently searching for a capable and talented individual for the role of Furnishing Apprentice in our Vancouver facility. The Furnishing Apprentice will ensure that the interior appearance and serviceability of West Jet aircraft are professionally maintained.

- Assist in fixing interior snags in West Jet's fleet of aircraft.
- Perform aircraft washes.
- Perform all work assigned in accordance with the instruction and procedures described in the Maintenance Procedures Manual, Procedures & Standards Manual and other approved data.
- Coordinate with the Stores Department to obtain parts for repairs of interior components.
- Report any defect that is noted in the course of performing maintenance.
- Perform other duties and assignments as requested by the Furnishing Technicians, Managers, and Leads.
- Communicate to the Operations Managers and/or Operations Leads any performance or operational concerns and work together to rectify in a timely manner.
- Ensure a safe and tidy work area.
- Must display adequate knowledge and understanding to management and base maintenance personnel for the responsibilities associated with this position.
- Interior maintenance experience is an asset.
- Working knowledge of the aircraft maintenance manuals, component maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogue aircraft applicability and service bulletin is an asset.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively.
- Proven team player with the ability to build rapport with coworkers.
- 1–2 years of work experience preferred.
- An accredited AMT course is an asset.
- Must be able to obtain an Airport Restricted Area Pass issued by Transport Canada.
- Must be able to get an Airside Driver’s License – having a Driver’s License and a clean driver’s abstract.
