Join Bruce County as a Labour Truck Driver, specializing in weekend shifts. Engage in vital community tasks while driving and managing equipment during the winter months.
In this seasonal position based in Paisley, Ontario, you’ll undertake driving duties and responsibilities under the Transportation & Environmental Services department. From November 2026 to April 2027, this role requires effective operation of a tandem axle dump truck and snow plows, along with essential labour tasks. Candidates must be prepared for shift work and demonstrate reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage driving of various trucks and snow plows
• Collaborate on manual labour activities effectively
• Ensure readiness for call-ins at short notice
• Adhere to work schedule across weekends
• Operate equipment safely in various conditions
Requirements:
• Completed Grade 12 High School education
• Possession of an A-Z or D-Z Ontario Driver’s License
• Clean driving record; recent driver abstract needed
• Experience in winter driving is advantageous
• Physically capable of heavy lifting tasks
