About Our Client
Our client is a leading supplier of pipes, valves, fittings, and waterworks products serving customers across Canada. Known for their commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, they are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Material Handler to join their Calgary team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Responsibilities
Pick products and materials according to customer order requirements
Label, package, and prepare orders for shipment while ensuring all documentation is completed accurately
Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently in the proper delivery sequence
Organize and store inventory in designated warehouse locations
Inspect equipment and report any maintenance or mechanical concerns to supervisors
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and storage yard
Respond to warehouse-related inquiries and provide operational support as needed
Operate overhead cranes and other warehouse equipment where applicable
Participate in inventory counts and warehouse stock management activities
Assist customers at the warehouse sales counter when required
Follow all company safety procedures and operational guidelines
Qualifications
High school diploma or its equivalent, combination of education and experience
Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience in a distribution, industrial, or manufacturing environment
Experience operating warehouse equipment and mechanical devices is required
Forklift certification is considered a strong asset
Experience with industrial products such as pipes, valves, fittings, or related materials is an asset
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure
