PI Logistics Technician

Schedule:

Afternoon shift, 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Assignment Type: 12-month contract
Pay Rate: $32/hour

About the Role

We are currently seeking a PI Logistics Technician to support on-site logistics and materials activities in Burnaby, BC. This role will be responsible for assisting with materials management, inventory handling, parts movement, and general logistics support to ensure smooth daily operations on site.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, physically capable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, including occasional work in adverse weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Support daily on-site logistics and materials management activities

Receive, organize, move, and track materials, parts, and equipment

Assist with inventory control, stock counts, and material availability

Prepare, stage, and issue materials to support operational teams

Maintain accurate records of materials movement and inventory updates

Support shipping, receiving, and general warehouse/logistics activities as required

Ensure materials are stored safely, correctly, and in accordance with site procedures

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure parts and materials are available when needed

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Follow all health, safety, and site procedures

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in materials management, logistics, warehouse, inventory, or a related field

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Comfortable working in adverse weather conditions when required

Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

Ability to adapt quickly and work with agility in a changing environment

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working afternoon shifts

Must be available to work on-site in Burnaby, BC

Nice to Have

Experience in a rail, transit, manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or maintenance environment

Experience with shipping/receiving, cycle counts, kitting, or parts coordination

Familiarity with inventory systems, ERP systems, or basic Excel

Forklift, pallet jack, or warehouse equipment experience

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

Ability to work collaboratively with site teams and support daily operational needs

Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working an afternoon shift from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
