Compensation:  $23/hour

Job Summary  This $23/hour warehouse role involves picking and staging orders, operating a  stand-up counterbalance forklift , and working safely in a cold/freezer environment while following all Food Safety, HACCP, and workplace safety requirements. The role requires lifting 50-70+ lbs., and weekend availability may be required.

*** A 4:00 AM start time is mandatory , so candidates must be reliable and consistently able to arrive on time and ready to work.***
* Responsibilities   Pick and stage orders accurately and efficiently in a cold/freezer environment.
Operate an electric stand-up counterbalance forklift safely in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper use of PPE in cold storage areas.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse areas.
Provide assistance in maintaining workplace safety, including being a certified First Aid responder on shift.
Ensure that any equipment being used is safe to operate at all times.
Ability to follow directions.
Comply with all Food Safety and HACCP regulations.
Ability to be available to work weekends as needed.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications    Standup electric counterbalance forklift certificate  required.
Occupational First Aid Certificate is an asset (OFA Level
1).
1+ year warehouse related experience (food processing, cold environment production) an asset.
Completion of High School, Post-Secondary an asset.
Trained in WHMIS, Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP.
Able to work in a fast-paced work environment with superior attention to safe work methods.
Physically able to lift (50 to 70 + lbs.), stand, walk, bend, twist, stoop, squat, repetitively for the duration of the shift.
Can identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
