Accounting Manager – Temporary Assignment
Base pay range: $40.00/hr – $60.00/hr
A growing organization in the Pacific Northwest is seeking an Accounting Manager to support core corporate accounting functions. This role is responsible for general ledger activities, account reconciliations, journal entries, treasury support, and audit assistance. The position also plays a role in documenting accounting policies, improving internal controls, and supporting special projects across the finance team.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross‑functionally in a dynamic environment. This is a temporary role anticipated to last 3–6 months.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger analyses
- Support treasury-related activities, including daily cash reconciliations and banking processes
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner
- Assist with external financial audits and internal audit requests
- Support financial reporting activities, including schedules and supporting documentation
- Ensure accounting records comply with internal policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Document and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and workflows
- Participate in or lead special projects as assigned
- Provide backup support for general ledger functions performed by other accounting team members
- Support sales and use tax compliance, including return filings across multiple jurisdictions and audit coordination
- Perform other accounting or finance-related duties as assigned
- Strong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting principles
- Experience with internal controls and audit support
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Detail‑oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills required
- ERP system experience preferred (SAP a plus)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Proven ability to document processes clearly and effectively
- Positive, professional attitude with a desire to contribute to team success
