Compensation

  • $28 / hr-$35 / hr
  • Full-Time (40-hour week)

Summary

Our finance specialist plays a crucial role and should be comfortable managing full cycle accounts payable tasks and supporting general bookkeeping functions, including basic general ledger maintenance. This role works closely with the Accountant and Finance Manager to ensure accurate accounting records and timely vendor payments. They are responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records, tracking and processing financial transactions.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable
  • Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy and proper GL coding.
  • Prepare and execute weekly payment runs and ACH payments.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and maintain vendor files.
  • Answer vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support 1099 preparation and reporting (year-end).
  • General Ledger / Bookkeeping
  • Post journal entries and assist with month-end close with strict deadlines.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly. Maintain general ledger and account reconciliations.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in accounts payable or bookkeeping.
  • Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and month-end procedures.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Dynamic BC, ERP systems).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
Preferred (not required)
  • Associate’s degree in accounting / finance or related field.
  • Experience with payroll or tax compliance.
  • Willing and able to learn new software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm under pressure.
Preferred
  • M365 Business Central Dynamics experience.
  • Microsoft 365 experience.
