Payroll Specialist
Location: Vancouver, WA
Pay Range: $55,000 - $65,000 annually, depending on experience
About the Opportunity
CFS is partnering with a well-established and growing organization seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join its accounting and finance team. This role offers the opportunity to manage end-to-end payroll processing in a collaborative environment while contributing to process improvements and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.

Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll accurately and timely for multi-state employees
- Maintain payroll records, employee earnings, deductions, garnishments, and tax information
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Reconcile payroll reports, payroll liabilities, benefits deductions, and general ledger payroll accounts
- Partner with Human Resources and Accounting to resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
- Assist with year-end payroll activities including W-2 preparation and payroll audits
- Support payroll reporting, process documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience, including multi-state payroll administration
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, payroll compliance, and payroll systems
- Experience with payroll reconciliations, employee records management, and general ledger payroll accounting
