TITLE:
Substitute Services Program Assistant

LOCATION: Administrative Service Center (ASC)

REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Human Resources

DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

Hours / Work Times

8 Hours Per Day (6:30 a.m.

- 3:30 p.m. includes 1 hour unpaid lunch)

213 Days Per Year

Position Duration: Permanent

Salary Placement: New employees will start at the minimum hourly rate in the classification salary range. However, employees who have verified prior years of service of similar occupational experience may receive experience credit towards salary step placement.

Evergreen Public Schools (EPS) offers the following to eligible employees who work at least 630 hours in a school year:

SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Under the general supervision of the Assistant Manager Classified Human Resources, the Substitute Services Program Assistant will assist in developing and optimizing processes and procedures to monitor and process time sheets and work hours for all certificated and classified substitute employees.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Communicate effectively with the staff and general public in person, by telephone, via E-mail and in writing.
  • Develop procedures to accurately track Substitute Employee hours for SEBB eligibility.
  • Analyze data, develop and generate reports as needed.
  • Develop procedures to increase efficiency in substitute payroll processing.
  • Troubleshoot the Frontline/AESOP system.
  • Evaluate and review transcripts and experience for Certificated Long Term Substitutes ensuring proper salary placement.
