• Engage with youth ages 1-12 years in a fun and safe environment
• Create, implement and provide input on youth program curricula or a daily schedule plan
• Create and manage programs for Kids Night Out in Daxko
• Establish good rapport with parents and children
• Keep accurate rosters and attendance records
• Effectively communicate with supervisor, peers, parents and participants
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for children
• Reliably work various hours Monday – Sunday (including evenings 4:00pm–8:30pm and Saturdays)
• Commit to establishing long-term relationships with staff, volunteers, participants, members and families

• Incorporate and model YMCA Christian principles into your work
• Follow directions and relate/communicate well with children, parents and staff
• Have the physical and mental ability to teach athletic and enrichment programs and move equipment up to ~25 lbs
• Respond quickly to critical incidents and emergency situations
• Observe and oversee group participant activities and enforce safety regulations
• Work well in fast-paced environments and establish harmonious relations with team, volunteers and partners
• Lead groups of participants in activities

• Must pass YMCA background check
• Complete all job-related trainings within 30 days of hire
• Have CPR/First Aid certification or acquire within 30 days of employment
• Prior work experience with youth and parents preferred
• At least 18 years of age
