Typesetter

We are seeking a skilled Typesetter to join our publishing team in Washington. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and preparing text and images for print or digital publication. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

• Format and layout text and images according to design specifications and style guidelines
• Collaborate with editors, designers, and other team members to ensure accuracy and consistency in all published materials
• Proofread content for spelling, grammar, and formatting errors
• Use software programs such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress to create page layouts
• Ensure that all materials are properly prepared for printing or digital distribution
• Troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during the production process

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Typesetter or in a similar role
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress, and other publishing software programs
• Strong understanding of typography, layout design, and print production processes
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Experience working with multiple languages is a plus

Starting salary for this position is 1500$ per month.

This position is based in Washington but we welcome candidates from all nationalities. Relocation assistance may be provided for the right candidate.
