Clark College is seeking applicants for part-time Clinical Nursing Professors to teach in our Associate Degree Program. Openings are primarily for in person clinical and skills lab courses.

This part-time position is an ongoing recruitment in which applications are collected year‑round. Positions will be filled as program needs arise. We review applications on a quarterly basis.

Position Responsibilities

GENERAL FACULTY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Instruct classes utilizing techniques and knowledge of the discipline that facilitate student learning.
  • Effectively use computer applications for instruction, communication where appropriate and maintaining program compliance.
  • Maintain department curriculum standards.
  • Provide appropriate means to assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
  • Use appropriate teaching methods to respond to varying student learning styles.
  • Participate in decision‑making processes by taking part in department and college committees.
  • Participate in relevant department activities supporting the teaching and learning environment.
  • Strive to enhance teaching and learning techniques.
  • Work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.
  • Understand and commit to the mission of Clark College.
Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and currently enrolled in a Master’s in Nursing program or Master’s degree in a health or education related field.
  • Three years of relevant clinical experience.
  • RN licensure in Oregon and Washington (or ability to obtain by time of hire).
Supplemental Information

SALARY STATEMENT: The lab salary for nursing clinical professors is $102.59/hour.
