Substitute Montessori Teaching Assistant
Base pay range $16.50/hr - $21.00/hr
SummaryGood Shepherd Montessori School looks for an experienced, reliable child‑care professional with Montessori experience to serve as a substitute teaching assistant on an as needed basis. The role supports guiding teachers in the classroom, ensures student safety and well‑being through visual and auditory supervision, and requires a professional demeanor while working with children and maintaining the classroom and playground environment.
Responsibilities- Assist with care of students, classroom, and playground.
- Perform dishes and laundry as needed.
- Minimum age 18.
- High school diploma.
- Portable background check, STARS , and Washington State Food Handlers certification.
- 30‑hour basics childcare class.
- CPR/first aid certification.
- Immunizations:
Hepatitis B, MMR, TB test.
- Montessori assistant training.
- Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Level 1 training.
Meaningful work that improves the world, sick leave available. Pay is based on experience and qualifications.
