7 Hours Per Day (7 : 30 a.m.
- 3 : 00 p.m. includes 30 minute unpaid lunch)
190 days per year (180 student days / 10 holidays)
This position will remain open until a qualified applicant is selected. The earliest date a recommendation for hire may be submitted is after 12 / 10 / 25.
Para educator Employment Requirements- Be at least eighteen (18) years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent; AND
- Must meet one or more of the following :
- Have received a passing score of 455 or higher on the Education Testing Service Para Pro Assessment (ETS test / PRAXIS); or
- Hold an Associate Degree or higher from an accredited college or university; or
- Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university; or
- Have completed a Para educator Apprenticeship Program (program must be registered with the Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council).
- If you do not meet the required qualifications listed above your name will be screened out from the list of qualified candidates .
Upon hire new para educators will be required to complete state required training offered through Evergreen School District.

Salary Placement :
New employees will start at the minimum hourly rate in the classification salary range. However employees who have verified prior years of service of similar occupational experience may receive experience credit towards salary step placement.

Under the general supervision of the Director of Special Services the Registered Behavior Technician works under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or the coordination of the Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). The RBT is responsible for the direct implementation of skills-acquisition and implementation of behavior intervention plans developed by the IEP team BCBA or BCaBA. The RBT works under the supervision of the BCBA but in collaboration with the classroom teacher.
The RBT may also collect data and conduct assessments.
- Perform tasks assigned by the BCBA / BCaBA
- Assist teacher with implementation of classroom instruction and working with children during instructional activities.
