Jackola Engineering and Architecture in Vancouver Washington is seeking a Structural Engineer with an Engineer Intern (EI) Certification to join our full‑service design team. In this collaborative role, you will work alongside multidisciplinary professionals, clients, contractors, and vendors to bring innovative projects to life.
You will contribute to a diverse portfolio, including office buildings, schools, multifamily residences, hotels, restaurants, banks, and retail spaces—plus other high‑profile developments. Occasional travel to job sites for client meetings and site observations may be required to ensure seamless execution.
Key Responsibilities- Support senior engineers throughout design and construction.
- Identify and solve problems with a goal to provide relevant and constructable solutions.
- Work in a multi‑discipline team environment to help develop and design structural concepts, systems, drawings, and specifications.
- Coordinate with external suppliers, internal design teams, and manufacturers.
- Use various software packages to calculate gravity, lateral, and foundation loads.
- Respond to contractors during construction.
- A bachelor’s degree in structural engineering from an accredited university.
- Successfully passed the FE exam and possess EI Certification.
- 0‑2 years relevant structural design experience.
- Autodesk Revit drafting experience.
- Organized and able to handle multiple tasks at a time.
- Self‑starter who can work independently and be part of a team.
