Project Engineer I

Mortenson is currently seeking a Project Engineer that will provide analysis, management, and resolution of field coordination issues with project team members and participants. • Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft persons.
• Work with the Project Manager on fee payments or recurring permit expenses.
• Develop and maintain:
  Material Tracking List, Project Test and Inspection Listing, Concrete Placement Log, Non‑Conformance Report.
• Manage, create, and distribute contract documents and RFIs.
• Establish handling procedures for electronic documents, including RFI and correspondence.
• Manage all aspects of testing and inspection processes for the construction quality management program.
• Mentor, manage, and evaluate field engineers.
• Coordinate safety and compliance for all team members.
• Maintain schedule of timelines and follow through until completion.

• Minimum of two years related construction experience.
• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and effectively manage multiple tasks.
• Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
• Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Positive and professional attitude and customer service skills.
• Current driver’s license.
• Ability to travel 100%.

Base pay range: $84,100 – $113,500 (plus location adjustments).
