Summary

Mortenson is currently seeking a Project Engineer who will provide analysis, management, and resolution of field coordination issues with project team members and participants. The role supports the design and construction of semiconductor fabs, cleanroom environments, and advanced manufacturing facilities.

• Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft persons
• Work with the Project Manager on fee payments or recurring permit expenses
• Develop and maintain Material Tracking List, Project Test and Inspection Listing, Concrete Placement Log, and Non‑Conformance Report
• Manage, create, and distribute contract documents
• Establish handling procedures for electronic documents, including RFIs and correspondence
• Incorporate all processes and procedures that support the project closeout phase
• Manage all aspects of testing and inspection processes for the construction quality management program
• Manage submittals
• Develop and distribute RFIs and Change Orders
• Mentor, manage, and evaluate field engineers
• Determine alternative work methods as needed
• Coordinate safety and compliance for all team members
• Maintain schedule timelines and follow through until completion

• Minimum of two years related construction experience
• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and effectively manage multiple tasks
• Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
• Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, and problem‑solving skills
• Proven positive and professional attitude and customer service skills
• Current driver’s license
• Ability to travel 100%

The base pay range for this role is $84,100 – $113,500. Actual range is higher in Denver, CO;
Chicago, IL;
Seattle, WA;
Portland, OR;
Washington, D.C.
