Join AZAD as an Electronic Engineer Technician and provides engineering, design, and field support in Bonneville Power Administration (BPA)'s System Engineering (TEN) Project Engineering, Telecom (TENP) group. This includes fiber optics, analog/mobile radio, digital radio, power line carrier, operational telephone, microwave towers and antennas, emergency AC/DC power and UPS systems, communications buildings, multiplex equipment, and monitoring systems including alarm system, Fault Locating Acquisition Reporter (FLAR), microwave monitor, wide area networks used for operational data and network management.
This position will provide engineering technician expertise, assisting project managers and other engineering personnel in implementing projects, supporting field maintenance crews, and other related engineering activities.
This is a 2 years plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is remote but must reside in Oregon, Washington, Idaho or Montana.
The hourly pay rate range for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $4.93) is $34.93 - $39.93 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package.
Qualifications- A bachelor's or associate's degree in electronic engineering or a closely related field is preferred
- 5 years of work experience is required with an applicable bachelor's degree.
- 7 years of work experience is required with an applicable associate's degree
- 9 years of work experience is required without a degree or applicable degree.
- Experience should include directly related work experience in a technical/engineering environment and should demonstrate increasing knowledge and responsibility
- Proficiency in use of CAD software.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License is required.
- Experience in a project team environment.
- Experience with Micro Station CAD software.
