Engineer Support Specialist 2 – Engineering Operations Specialist
Duration: 12-month Contract (with possible extensions up to 5 years)
Pay Range: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour
Position Responsibilities- Coordinate and expedite the flow of work, materials, and/or equipment per project or production schedules.
- Review and distribute project schedules, work orders, and action plans to determine equipment or material requirements.
- Confer with managers and team leads to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
- Revise project schedules or action plans when required due to design changes, labor or material/equipment shortages, or other interruptions.
- Requisition and maintain inventory records of materials, equipment, or supplies necessary to meet project timelines.
- Calculate figures such as required amounts of materials or equipment and compile information for status reports.
- Provide customer services, including customer needs assessment and delivery of services meeting quality standards.
- Apply knowledge of business and management principles in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
- Utilize administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, file and record management, and form design.
- Apply principles and techniques of engineering science and technology to the design and production of goods and services.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Desired:
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, supply and logistics management, construction management, engineering, or a closely-related technical field. - 5 years of engineering operations experience supporting construction logistics and engineering operations or a related field (required).
- Broad knowledge of engineering operations policies and procedures involving material and equipment inventory and control.
- Experience with processes, automated records and control systems for acquisitions, accountability, control, and disposal of facilities, equipment, materials, supplies, and other resources.
- Experience with Oracle-based Enterprise Resource Planning software.
- Experience with Excel Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
- Working knowledge of SharePoint for data entry and retrieval.
- Extremely detail‑oriented and capable of working independently on multiple complex projects.
- Ability to identify problems and articulate them to leadership in a clear, timely manner.
- Strong oral communication skills for conveying technical advice to varied audiences.
- Comfortable following rules, guides, or processes.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills; calm and customer‑oriented in fast‑paced, stressful conditions.
- High level of organizational abilities and multi‑tasking skills.
- Capable of managing support to assigned projects and formulating advice to clients based on given guides.
