Tax Accountant

Salary Range: $52,000 - $71,500 USD per year + Bonus/Equity/Benefits

Role Overview

You’ll support Zoom Info’s State and Local Tax Manager primarily handling indirect tax matters such as sales tax reports, property tax filings, and miscellaneous state taxes. This role emphasizes learning, process improvement, and teamwork to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare indirect tax work papers and returns (sales/use, property, gross receipts tax)
• Support monthly close with tax reconciliations and journal entries in SAP
• Monitor and communicate legislative/regulatory tax changes
• Conduct state tax compliance research and documentation
• Coordinate new tax jurisdictions setup with Finance technology team
• Manage sales tax exemption certificates in One Source
• Respond to sales tax inquiries and assist with audit support
• Drive process improvements, controls, and automation
• Collaborate across tax and business teams

Qualifications & Skills

• 1-3 years tax experience (industry or public accounting), ideally in state/indirect tax compliance
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Positive, resilient, solutions-oriented mindset
• Willingness to learn new software, experiment with AI, and improve processes
• Hybrid work model requiring at least 3 days/week onsite in Vancouver or Waltham; quarterly office visits mandatory
