Business Intelligence Analyst
Hybrid model in Vancouver, Washington.
Business Intelligence Analyst Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of contact for business users seeking support with reporting, analytics, system access, and data-related questions.
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies by reviewing documentation, validating data lineage, and querying analytical models or databases.
- Translate business questions into clear reporting and analytical requirements, documenting needs and confirming expected outcomes.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain data models and dashboards using modern BI tools to deliver accurate and actionable insights.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at all levels, using evidence-based explanations.
- Partner closely with IT and analytics peers on cross-functional initiatives, including data platform enhancements and reporting improvements.
- Prototype new metrics or analyses in sandbox environments and collaborate on formalizing them into production-ready solutions.
- Balance ongoing support requests with ownership of one larger initiative and several smaller analytical projects concurrently.
- Continuously improve reporting processes, data quality, and usability through thoughtful problem solving and collaboration.
- At least 3 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related technical analytics role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI and SQL in a production reporting environment.
- Experience working with modern data platforms or cloud-based analytics tools, including Python and SQL-based workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to support a wide range of stakeholders in a matrixed, cross-functional organization.
- Strong analytical mindset with a passion for exploring data, identifying root causes, and solving complex problems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, business-friendly language.
- Customer-service-oriented approach, comfortable handling high-volume requests from both technical and non-technical users.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems, engineering, finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Exposure to finance, HR, or enterprise operational data environments is preferred but not required.
Compensation: $35-$43/hr. (DOE)
