AboutThe Role
U Trust Insurance Agency LLC is hiring a P&C Quoting & Submission Specialist to strengthen our Commercial Lines operations. This role is ideal for someone with a background in underwriting or account management within the P&C insurance industry - especially in the commercial auto or trucking segment.
You’ll handle the full cycle of insurance submissions to online carrier portals (GEICO, Progressive’s For Agents Only , etc.), ensuring data integrity, risk accuracy, and timely quote delivery to our sales team. Your critical thinking and insurance expertise will help us avoid incorrect submissions and get faster, more reliable quotes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Review and validate all information received from agents or clients before submission (e.g., garaging address, equipment use, business details).
- Prepare and submit commercial P&C applications through carrier portals.
- Identify and flag risky, misleading, or incomplete information (e.g., mismatched garaging addresses for fleets, unlisted drivers, etc.).
- Maintain accurate internal documentation for all submissions and quotes.
- Coordinate with internal teams (agents, sales assistants) to clarify missing or questionable data.
- Provide feedback or guidance to agents based on underwriting rules and logic.
- Track submission statuses and ensure timely quote turnaround.
- Work in Applied Epic and Salesforce (training provided if needed).
- 2+ years of experience in underwriting, underwriting support, or account management within a P&C insurance agency, MGA, or carrier.
- Solid understanding of commercial auto/trucking insurance and associated risks.
- Familiarity with carrier quoting portals such as For Agents Only , GEICO, National Indemnity, or similar.
- High attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- This role can be hybrid or performed on-site at our office in Vancouver, WA.
- Experience with Applied Epic and/or Salesforce.
- Background in working with DOT-regulated risks.
- Bilingual (English + Russian/Ukrainian OR English + Spanish) is a plus.
