Immigration Specialist Part Time (Multilingual)

- Provide information and advocacy on a wide variety of immigration matters including but not limited to Naturalization, Adjustment of Status, and Family Reunification.
- Complete accreditation training and credentialing within a reasonable time established by Safe Route Director and Staff Attorney.
- Provide in‑person and phone assistance to clients with their immigration matters and provide ongoing case management and support.
- Schedule clients for appointments.
- Maintain accurate client files and detailed case notes.
- Attend ongoing training and continuing education courses to keep updated on recent changes in Immigration Law.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Knowledge of Immigration Law and USCIS processes and eligibility requirements for immigration benefits including but not limited to Naturalization, Adjustment of Status, and Family Reunification.
- Minimum 1‑year prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in immigration.
- Strong communication (both written and verbal), time‑management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and set priorities.
- Ability to work as a supportive team member.
- Familiarity with standard office procedures and basic knowledge of office equipment (printer, photocopy, fax, scanner, phone, etc.).
- Strict adherence to HIPAA standards in the office workspace to ensure client confidentiality.
- HS diploma acceptable with 1‑year prior experience in a similar role.
- Written and verbal fluency in both English and Spanish.
