Our Vancouver based healthcare client is looking for a CFO to work closely with and be the right‑hand of the CEO. This is a leadership role and works cross‑functionally across the organization as well as externally. High level of communication and emotional intelligence required. Must be big picture and strategic while also able to roll up your sleeves. Responsible for all accounting and finance, manages a large team, audit, forecast and budgeting, long‑term plan, and fee for services billing.
Healthcare experience is required. Role can be flexible with four days, 10 hours. Minimum of three days in office to develop staff.

Responsibilities- Coordinate the staffing, training, and operational activities for the accounting and finance departments, including the Controller, payroll, and revenue cycle management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements, contracts, and GAAP and Federal Regulations
- Supervise finance and accounting staff
- Identify and pursue expansion and service opportunities with the CEO
- Ensure finance and accounting procedure manuals are developed, adhered to, and reviewed at least annually
- Review and analyze resources and services to ensure optimum utilization
- Initiate and participate in staff recruitment activities
- Serve as resource to the Board of Directors Finance Committee
- Participate in the development and implementation of financial and budgetary goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for the organization; identify resource needs; recommend and implement policies and procedures; ensure GAAP compliance
- Develop, prepare, and oversee the implementation of short and long‑range financial plans of the organization; serve as integral member of the executive management team in overall operations and strategic planning
- Participate in operational and financial audits as required; work with external entities to coordinate finance, budgetary and grants management matters; forecast additional funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials and supplies; monitor expenditures; recommend adjustments as necessary
- Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, contributing to organizational strategy and overseeing financial and operational functions
- Report directly to the CEO, acting as a key advisor on financial and operational matters while collaborating with the leadership team to align strategies with organizational priorities
- Foster a culture of inclusivity and belonging by modeling leadership that supports all team members across diverse identities, while championing diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging efforts throughout the organization
- Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
- Eight to ten years of supervisory experience
- Excellent analytical, time management, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in database and accounting computer application systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and work effectively within a team environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of program development, implementation and management
- Ability to professionally represent the organization in all interactions
