HOURLY RATE: $34.30

Fabricate buildings, beams, girders, boats, etc., out of Aluminum materials according to contract specifications and blueprints with minimal supervision.

• Read and interpret all types of drawings and sketches, lay out and assemble with speed and accuracy, without the aid of supervision.
• Identify material types, cut to length, lay‑out and fit‑up welded or bolted detail, show weld sizes, piece marks, direction marks, etc.
• Develop, bend, roll, build up, and assemble various types of plated assemblies and structures.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions regarding daily functions, safety rules and regulations, and possible hazardous conditions.
• Ability to communicate with and instruct team members on the project.

• Experience and ability to perform the above referenced essential functions and responsibilities.
• Sufficient knowledge in burning, welding, and operation of production machines and cranes.
• Knowledge of pipe welding of aluminum, stainless and copper nickel a plus
• Knowledgeable in the operation of all fabrication equipment.

Minimum 2 years of welding/fabrication experience or apprentice program.

• Capable of passing a 3G, 4G Aluminum weld test on 3/8 plate to AWS D1.2 weld standards.
• Must be in good standing with or willing to join an affiliated labor union

• Ability to lift, carry 60
  
  Lbs., or maneuver objects, difficult objects will be lifted with the assistance of mechanical means or additional workers.
• Must be able to lift 4 ft., 60 lb. spool of wire and load welding machine.
