Maintenance Juice Mechanics

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Maintenance Juice Mechanic role in Vancouver, WA

• Troubleshoot, rebuild, and repair juice plant processing equipment, including filter systems, decanters, evaporators, positive displacement pumps, and dynamic pumps.
• Rebuild and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps and valves.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Use flow charts and mechanical schematics to understand and maintain complex juice processing systems.
• Inspect and replace gaskets, valves, food-grade piping, and other components in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Follow all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout and confined space procedures.
• Accurately log maintenance activities on daily job time sheets.
• Collaborate with operations and production teams to identify and resolve equipment issues.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in industrial maintenance
  , preferably in a food or beverage processing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, gearboxes
  , and pumps.
• Proficient in using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, and feeler gauges to check mechanical tolerances.
• Ability to read blueprints, flow charts, and mechanical schematics
  .
• Capable of lifting up to 50+ lbs and working in hot, humid, or wet environments
  .
• Enthusiastic about understanding and improving technical and mechanical systems.

• Technical certification or diploma in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics
  , or related field.
• Experience with TIG welding stainless steel sanitary piping is a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with sanitary design standards
  , FDA,
  GMP
  , and HACCP guidelines.
