Position: Furnace Technician 2

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Furnace Technician 2 role in Vancouver. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. With a focus on continuous improvement, they pride themselves on maintaining excellence at every stage of their manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, run, and monitor furnaces to ensure efficient operation.

  • Perform minor maintenance and troubleshoot issues with furnaces to maintain optimal performance.

  • Understand production priorities and work proactively to reduce bottlenecks.

  • Implement statistical process control methods to track product quality and make improvements as directed.

  • Operate additional equipment, including powder compacting presses, sand blasters, and precision scales.

  • Collaborate with engineering on specific tests and work independently on engineering projects related to production improvements.

  • Perform light maintenance on equipment to ensure reliability and uptime.

  • Accurately document processes, maintenance activities, and production data.

  • Promptly report any equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety hazards to supervisors.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in furnace operation or manufacturing is preferred.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of various machining processes.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with engineering teams on production improvement projects.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.

  • Flexibility to work the graveyard shift (Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM) with a $1 shift differential.

  • Knowledge of statistical process control methods is a plus, but training will be provided.
