GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONWorks under moderate supervision to perform a set of standard duties and responsibilities to support QC/QA operations for designated manufacturing division. This role will support the customer complaints/non‑compliance process, will perform a root cause analysis, and provide analysis and potential recommendations to engineers. Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments.
REQUIREMENTS- AA or AS degree highly preferred.
- Requires AA or AS and at least 2 years+ of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend verbal as well as written instructions in English.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide all units of measure including common and decimal fractions.
- Ability to use a microscope, depending on the specific function.
- Ability to read blueprints/mechanical drawings, depending on the specific function.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and depth perception.
- 20/20 corrected vision - varies by division.
- Willingness to wear finger cots, masks, and/or cleanroom apparel.
- Ability to either stand or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, push, pull, reach, grab, turn, twist, and/or stoop.
- Ability to grab small parts or hand tools with hands.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs.
- Ability to manage projects and follow through on process improvement procedures.
- Intermediate computer skills including typing, excel and outlook.
- Knowledge of ceramic machining processing preferred.
- Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, Lean and Six Sigma Principles preferred.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
