Job Description
The Quality Inspector plays a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of mechanical and electrical assemblies. In this position, you inspect printed circuit boards (PCBs) and related components, verify that products meet established standards, and accurately document production results. You work hands‑on with manufacturing equipment, follow detailed production documentation, and support a clean, safe, and efficient lean manufacturing environment.
ResponsibilitiesPerform quality inspection of mechanical and electrical assemblies, including printed circuit boards and related components.
Verify components and materials against production documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
Position PCBs on machine fixtures, start and monitor machine operation, and ensure proper processing throughout the production run.
Make minor machine adjustments as needed to maintain product quality and clear machine jams in a safe and timely manner.
Conduct thorough visual inspections of assembled boards to identify defects, quality issues, or deviations from standards.
Complete production records, batch logs, and related documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Follow all safety procedures and protocols while operating equipment and moving through the production area.
Use hand tools and basic equipment as required to support production and inspection activities.
Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient workflow and support continuous improvement in the manufacturing process.
Maintain attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality in all inspection and documentation tasks.
Adhere to lean manufacturing practices to help keep the work area clean, organized, and efficient.
Interest in quality inspection within a manufacturing or production environment.
Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with production machinery and equipment.
Ability to stand for the majority of the shift while performing inspection and production tasks.
Experience or comfort with electronic assembly work, including handling PCBs and small components.
Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools in a production setting.
Strong vision and hand-eye coordination for detailed visual inspection work.
Ability to follow detailed written instructions and production documentation accurately.
Basic computer skills for recording production data and completing batch logs.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks and processes.
High level of attention to detail and a strong commitment to product quality.
Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with coworkers.
Reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent production schedules.
