POSITION PURPOSE

The Director of Pastoral Ministries is a key member of the Parish Family 45 Leadership Team and serves as the primary collaborator with the Pastor in shepherding the spiritual and pastoral life of the three parishes, two schools and cemetery of Parish Family 45.

Under the direction of the Pastor, the Director of Pastoral Ministries provides strategic leadership, vision, and coordination for all pastoral ministries—including liturgy, faith formation, OCIA, evangelization, outreach, social justice, and community engagement. The Director oversees the Family Pastoral Team, ensuring a unified, mission-driven, and collaborative approach to ministry across all sites and age groups.

Over the next several years, this position will play a key leadership role in guiding the pastoral integration and renewal of Parish Family 45, helping three unique parishes grow together as one vibrant Catholic community. The Director will help build and form an effective pastoral team, accompanying staff, volunteers, and parishioners through a time of transition, collaboration, and mission alignment. This includes fostering shared vision, communication, and unity among clergy, pastoral leaders, and the lay faithful while maintaining pastoral stability and care for the people of the parish family.

The Director of Pastoral Ministries is both a pastoral leader and strategic manager, entrusted with shaping the emerging identity, culture, and mission of the parish family. This role requires a practicing Catholic with deep faith, pastoral sensitivity, strong leadership and organizational skills, and a genuine desire to build unity through prayer, service, and discipleship.

The Director of Pastoral Ministries supports the Pastor in advancing the evangelizing mission of the Church, developing missionary disciples, and ensuring that all pastoral ministries are welcoming, inclusive, and centered on Christ.
