Title: Food Service Coordinator On Call position
Department: Hunger Response, Volunteers & Community Resources
Supervisor: Director of Volunteers & Community Resources
Location: Share House Men’s Shelter, 1115 W 13th St, Vancouver, WA
Hours: On Call / No permanent Hours / This position covers shifts for staff on vacation or call outs.
Pay Range: $20-$23 hour

Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, outgoing On Call Kitchen Coordinator for our Hot Meals Program who loves cooking, serving food, and supporting the community. The Hot Meals program provides daily, free meals to the public 365 days each year (3 meals per day Monday – Friday, and 2 meals on Weekends and Holidays) for people in Clark County struggling with poverty and hunger.
The position will assist the Food Service Manager & Food Service Coordinator and focus on various food preparation duties to help with food production, efficient delivery of finished dishes to clients, and regular food safety and cleaning tasks to keep the kitchen running smoothly. This position requires an individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills for engagement with a wide range of stakeholders including co-workers, volunteers, donors, and people who are experiencing homelessness and/or living in poverty.
This position is a part of a team that includes the Food Service Manager, Food Service Coordinator, Food Service Assistants, the Director of Volunteers & Community Resources, the Volunteer & Community Resources Coordinator, and the Volunteer & Nutrition Programs Coordinator.
