TITLE: Assistant Club Director
DEPARTMENT: Youth & Family Services
REPORTS TO: Club Director
LOCATION: Teen Turf Club, 4040 Plomondon St, Vancouver, WA 98661
CLASSIFICATION: Hourly, Non-Exempt, Full-Time
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSWhile under the direct supervision of the Club Director, the Assistant Club Director supports daily Club operations by providing on-the-floor leadership, overseeing front desk operations and membership functions, supporting Club snack and meal programs, and collaborating with school and community partners to ensure a safe, welcoming, and high-quality Club environment. This position serves as a working lead and does not have direct reports.
LEADERSHIP+ MANAGEMENT = ACCOUNTABILITY (LMA)
- Provide day-to-day leadership by modeling professionalism, accountability, and sound decision-making
- Provide real-time, on-the-floor guidance, coaching, and support to staff during daily programming and operations
- Model organizational expectations, policies, procedures, and Protection of Youth standards
- Reinforce program expectations, safety standards, and positive youth engagement practices
- Support staff with problem-solving, communication, and operational questions during shifts
- Observe daily operations and escalate concerns, incidents, or performance-related issues to the Club Director as appropriate
- Provide and receive open, honest feedback; reflect and follow up to clarify expectations
- Support the Club Director in building a strong, cohesive team focused on high-quality teen programming
- Support planning of team meetings and facilitate assigned portions of the agenda
- Support weekend and evening programming, including scheduling coordination and on-call support
- Manage program and activity expenditures within approved budgets
- Maintain confidentiality of membership data, school data, success plans, and all sensitive information
- Act as a positive role model for youth through professional conduct on-site, in the community, and on social media
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Serve as the primary point of contact for front desk and lobby operations
- Maintain a welcoming, organized, and safe lobby environment, particularly during peak drop-off and pick-up times
- Greet and assist youth, families, visitors, and partners; answer phones and respond to general inquiries
- Collect and process membership fees, overdue fees, field trip fees, and insurance information
- Manage Club funds in accordance with the organization’s Finance Core Process
- Oversee My Club Hub (MCH) for accurate data entry, attendance tracking, reporting, and financial procedures
- Ensure household account accuracy, including balances and attendance records
- Support families with membership enrollment, renewals, and parent portal questions
- Host and co-host Parent/Member Orientations
- Support member recruitment and encourage ongoing participation in Club programs
- Ensure the Club meets organizational membership and attendance goals
- Oversee access to the Club building and ensure all Protection of Youth Policies are followed
- Assist with opening and closing the building as needed
- Conduct daily walk-throughs and facility checks to ensure safety, cleanliness, and operational standards
