Healthcare Executive Placements, Inc. (HCEPInc.) is seeking an Interim ICU Nurse Manager for a W2 Contract position based in Van Nuys, CA.
Schedule:
Day, Monday through Friday, 5 8's
Assignment Duration: 6 Months +
Compensation:
This position offers a daily rate of $700 to $750 which equates to $3,500 to $3,750 per week (based on a 5-day workweek). Per Diems:
Lodging: $191 per day and Meals & Incidentals: $86 per day. Per diems are paid daily, 7 days a week, totaling $1,939 per week. Total Weekly Compensation (Daily Rate + Per Diems):
Between $5,439 to $5,689 per week.

The Clinical Nurse Manager plays a vital leadership role in ensuring exceptional patient care and operational excellence within the nursing department. This position combines direct oversight of clinical staff with strategic collaboration across interdisciplinary teams. You will lead initiatives to maintain regulatory compliance, optimize resource use, and foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Essential Functions:- Lead, manage, and support the nursing team, including hiring, onboarding, training, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to design and implement individualized, evidence-based patient care plans.
- Ensure departmental adherence to all applicable healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Monitor patient care outcomes and implement quality improvement strategies to enhance service delivery.
- Oversee departmental budgeting and resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment that supports staff development and high morale.
- Drive ongoing professional development initiatives and mentor nursing staff to elevate clinical expertise and leadership capabilities.
- Minimum five to six years of acute care clinical nursing experience required.
- At least three years of management or supervisory experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required (Master's preferred).
- Current CA RN License required.
- BLS Certification required.
- Must obtain LA City Fire Card certification within the first 30 days of employment.
