Interim Clinical Nurse Educator, Perioperative Services

Healthcare Executive Placements, Inc. (HCEPInc.) is seeking an Interim Clinical Nurse Educator, Perioperative Services for a W2 Contract position based in Los Angeles, CA.

Schedule: Day, Monday through Friday, 5 8's

Assignment Duration: 6 Months +

Compensation: This position offers a daily rate of $590 to $630 which equates to $2,950 to $3,150 per week (based on a 5-day workweek). Per Diems:
Lodging: $191 per day and Meals & Incidentals: $86 per day. Per diems are paid daily, 7 days a week, totaling $1,939 per week.
Total Weekly Compensation (Daily Rate + Per Diems): Between $4,889 to $5,089 per week.

Summary: The Interim Educator will play a critical role in onboarding, training, and mentoring nursing staff within the Perioperative Services departments. This role ensures nursing excellence through evidence-based education and competency development.

• Collaborate with department leadership to assess and address staff educational needs.
• Develop and deliver orientation, training, and continuing education programs for perioperative staff.
• Ensure all perioperative staff meet competency standards and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., Joint Commission, AORN, AAMI, CMS).
• Provide real-time support, coaching, and mentoring in the OR, PACU, and SPD areas.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements based on outcomes and feedback.
• Maintain documentation of staff education, competencies, and skills assessments.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to patient safety and perioperative performance.
• Stay current with best practices and trends in perioperative nursing and clinical education.

• Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of recent perioperative nursing experience, with at least 2 years in nursing education required.
• Experience leading education for Periop
  101 curriculum required.
