Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring WA/compact RN licensure and prior L&D experience.

• Active WA or compact RN license required (pending license accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• Fetal Monitoring Course completed within the last 2 years required
• 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required, or 1 year with Mother/Baby experience
• 1 year of Epic experience required
• Experience starting and maintaining peripheral IVs required
• Skilled in scrubbing for C-sections preferred
• Minimum of 2 completed travel assignments required

• Labor and Delivery unit within a Level II Trauma Center, short-term acute care hospital with 405 staffed beds (32 in L&D)
• High-volume unit with facility births exceeding 300 per month
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:30-07:00)
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• Handles diagnoses/procedures including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&Cs, PPTL, IOL, cervical ripening, antepartum preeclampsia observation, placental abnormalities, opioid-to-suboxone conversion, triage, fetal surveillance, IV hydration, cerclage placement/removal, and water births
• Charting completed in Epic, including OBIX/Stork modules
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Free parking available in employee lot
• First-time travelers accepted
• No RTO restrictions
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility
• Previous Peace Health employees must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
