. We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Seasonal Key Holder, you’ll be a key part of the store leadership team by providing the best customer experience, helping fans access the merch they love, and supporting daily store operations to meet sales targets. You’ll use your fandom knowledge to help train new recruits and ensure their success.

• Provide an amazing shopping experience that encourages customers to return, leveraging product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Step in and step up when needed; provide leadership support and help run the store when the Store Manager is unavailable.
• Understand the store sales plan and comp sales goals; help drive sales by increasing key KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
• Cover the sales floor and ensure assigned areas meet visual standards; assist with opening and closing the store.
• Operate the register; process sales transactions, demonstrate product knowledge to drive add-on sales, and communicate shortages or overages to the Store Manager.
• Assist with planogram changes including store map, wall, fixture, and merchandising mix.
• Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
• Collaborate with Store Management to prevent the misuse of spells or wizardry related to theft.
• Support stockroom organization and store tidiness.
• Train and coach new Sales Associates to help them acclimate quickly to the team.
• Support other activities as assigned by the Store Leader.

• Previous experience in a retail environment; love of music and pop culture is a plus.
• Strong customer service and sales skills.
• A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Collaborative and communicative skills with leadership potential.
• Ability to stand and walk during scheduled hours; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle merchandise using ladders or other equipment as needed.

Pay range: $17.20 - $19.75 an hour. Please note the pay range listed in the job posting may be adjusted based on factors such as location, education, experience, and other relevant considerations.
