Responsibilities- Ensure customers receive a positive shopping experience by greeting with eye contact, a smile, and friendly conversation.
- Maintain a clean, organized store environment, performing cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and restocking supplies.
- Assist customers at the register, answer product questions, handle transactions, and resolve issues promptly.
- Adhere to safety practices, report unsafe conditions, and maintain clear egress to emergency exits.
- Support merchandise presentation by expediting newly received items, following company merchandising guidelines, and maintaining brand familiarity.
- Follow loss prevention protocols, including the Shortage Highway and Store Protection Specialist procedures.
- Manage cash, check, charge card, and refund transactions accurately and in accordance with store policies.
- Demonstrate integrity and confidentiality with customer and company information.
- Engage in any additional tasks required to meet customer service and operational goals.

- Communicate politely, respectfully, and cooperatively with customers, associates, and store leadership.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail environments.
- Operate store equipment including PDTs, registers, and PCs.
- Spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving throughout the store.
- Regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
- Occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds; stockroom shifts may require lifting over 20 pounds.
- Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.

Base Pay Range$16.66 – $17.16 per hour, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, education, certifications, seniority, and location.

Supervisory associates in stores and exempt corporate/buying office roles are eligible for performance‑based bonuses.
