Outside Sales Representative (Open)

Location: Oregon City, OR & Portland, OR (Retail shop at 82 Av).

Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 base salary + 30% uncapped commission + $550 monthly car allowance.

• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to increase sales of compressed gases and welding products.
• Consult with customers on needs for tools, hardware, abrasive products, safety apparel/equipment, ensuring product suitability and collaborating with Airgas product specialists and manufacturer representatives.
• Actively pursue and acquire, on an ongoing basis, new and competitive accounts with an emphasis on gases, business, and product supply agreements.
• Schedule joint sales calls with vendors and Airgas Product Specialists.
• Build strong relationships with all branch personnel and create open communication with branch managers to grow and support business.
• Ensure customer inquiries related to billing, cylinder balances, order status, delivery times, etc. are promptly and courteously handled, providing follow‑up as necessary.

• Required: Proficiency working with computer applications including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Preferred: 3+ years experience in industrial sales.
• Preferred: 5+ years experience in outside sales.
• Preferred: Knowledge of welding and compressed gases products.
