Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Mitigation Technician to join our team. This role involves assisting in the remediation and restoration of properties affected by water, fire, smoke, and mold damage. The technician will be responsible for mitigation, cleanup, demolition, and equipment setup while ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Perform water extraction, structural drying, fire/smoke/mold remediation, and debris removal.
- Set up, monitor, and maintain drying and air filtration equipment.
- Clean and deodorize affected properties using industry-approved techniques and equipment.
- Assist in demolition and removal of damaged materials when necessary.
- Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Conduct daily inspections of vehicles and restoration equipment.
- Follow all company safety protocols and industry best practices.
- Provide professional and compassionate service to clients during stressful situations.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors, team members, and customers.
- Accurately document work performed, including before-and-after photos and job progress.
- Adhere to industry safety standards and company policies.
- Experience in restoration, construction, or related fields preferred.
- Must be eligible to operate a motor vehicle per company policy.
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- IICRC certifications (such as Water Damage Mitigation Technician)
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs frequently.
- Ability to work in various conditions, including water-damaged or fire-affected environments.
- Mobility in tight spaces and the ability to kneel, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Comfortable using protective gear such as respirators and Tyvek suits when necessary.
- Must be available to work on-call, nights, weekends, and occasional travel as needed.
- Participation in company-sponsored training and certifications is required.
