** Central Transfer & Recycle Center (CRC)**, a Waste Connections company, is looking to hire a highly motivated & safety driven,
** Heavy Equipment Operator,
** to work at our
** Transfer Station
** in
** Vancouver, WA.
** Pay range is**$28-$29/HR DOE
** Schedule is
** Wednesday-Sunday
** Shift is
** 10:00 AM to Close (6:30 PM or 7:30 PM)
** with some overtime as needed.

** 938 CAT Loader, 308 CAT Excavator, Forklift, Backhoe, Yard Truck

* DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

**
* ** REQUIRES
* * ability to efficiently & safely operate
** 938 CAT Loader, 308 CAT Excavator, Forklift, Backhoe, Yard Truck
** and
** 53ft chassis/*
* ** Trailer
* * experience.
* Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires.
* Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
* Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
* Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
** WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
*** Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
* Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
* Ability to operate heavy equipment is required.
* Knowledge of basic computer skills.
* Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
* Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.
* Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
** MINIMUM

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

*** High school diploma or equivalent.
* ** Minimum 500-hours
** of
** Heavy Equipment Operating
** experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
* Heavy Equipment Operating certification from an accredited trade school
*** preferred***.
* Basic knowledge of computer skills.
* Pre-employment requirements for this safety sensitive position include
** drug panel screening, motor vehicle report, &*
* ** criminal background check.
