Job Description
The Journeyman Carpenter will play a vital role in residential construction projects, primarily working within a small team and under the supervision of a lead carpenter. This position involves hands-on carpentry tasks across various building elements, frequent travel between job sites, and opportunities for skill advancement toward becoming a Senior Carpenter through regular on-the-job training.
Responsibilities
- Perform framing and finishing work to high-quality standards
- Install windows, decks, siding, and patio covers accurately
- Apply insulation, sheetrock, and complete painting tasks efficiently
- Ensure site cleanliness and maintain safety compliance at all times
- Take precise measurements and assist with problem solving on site
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of carpentry experience
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols
- Proficient use of hand and power tools
- Strong measurement and layout skills
- Effective problem-solving abilities
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
