Vaco is hiring for a Business Development Specialist opportunity in Vandalia OH. Direct Hire, Onsite. Salary: 45-52,000/yr + Commission.
OverviewThis role is ideal for someone who is comfortable with technology, curious by nature, and motivated to learn how B2B sales works in a real-world environment. The Sales Development & Marketing Associate will focus primarily on identifying prospects, initiating conversations, and advancing sales opportunities, while also supporting marketing and visibility initiatives.
You won’t be working alone—leadership will actively support sales calls—but you’ll own your outreach, follow-up, and pipeline activity. This role is designed for someone who enjoys learning, staying organized, and taking initiative.
Key Responsibilities Sales Development (Approximately 70%)Research and identify target companies, decision makers, and buying influencers
Execute consistent outbound outreach via email, Linked In, and phone
Craft clear, concise messaging to engage sourcing managers, supply chain leaders, and engineers
Qualify prospects and schedule introductory meetings
Track outreach activity, notes, and follow-ups within the CRM
Own prospects from first contact through booked meetings
Partner with leadership on sales calls while maintaining responsibility for follow-up and pipeline progression
Assist with digital advertising campaigns and performance tracking
Make basic website updates using Word Press, including pages, images, and service descriptions
Support landing page improvements focused on clarity and conversion
Monitor website traffic and inbound lead sources
Assist with Linked In posting and company visibility initiatives
Consistent and disciplined outbound activity
Positive prospect engagement and reply rates
Qualified meetings scheduled
New opportunities added and advanced within the sales pipeline
Improved inbound visibility and lead quality
Comfortable using modern software and digital tools
Familiar with CRM systems and structured follow-up processes
Highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
Curious and willing to learn new tools, strategies, and approaches
Self-motivated and proactive, with comfort reaching out to new contacts
Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional and technical audiences
B2B sales or marketing experience
Exposure to manufacturing or engineering environments
Experience with Word Press, digital advertising, or basic SEO
Prior CRM experience
