We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate medical care and support for individuals in our mental health and/or substance abuse treatment facility. The LPN will work under the supervision of an RN or physician, administering medications, monitoring client health, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for recovery.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including health monitoring and medication administration.
- Conduct routine assessments of clients’ physical and mental health conditions.
- Assist with withdrawal management and monitor symptoms in clients undergoing detox (if applicable).
- Document patient progress, medication administration, and any changes in condition accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with the treatment team, including RNs, physicians, therapists, and case managers, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate clients and families on medications, treatment plans, and overall health and wellness.
- Respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies and provide necessary interventions.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control procedures, and state and federal healthcare regulations.
- Current and valid LPN license in the State of Ohio (required).
- Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- Experience in mental health, substance abuse, or behavioral health settings preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, crisis intervention, and medication management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Experience in a detox, psychiatric, or residential treatment setting.
- Knowledge of behavioral health and substance use treatment protocols.
