Accounts Payable Specialist

Overview

The Accounts Payable Specialist plays an essential role in our finance team, ensuring the accuracy, precision and efficiency of various accounting operations such as entering financial transactions, reconciling accounts and managing supplier invoices. Due to the company's structure, the incumbent must demonstrate strong teamwork and versatility skills in order to support various teams and obtain information crucial to the proper processing of financial information.

• Input invoices in various currencies (CAD, USD) and batches, matching them to purchase order receipts
• Support the weekly check/bank transfer payment process
• Maintain up-to-date accounts payable master file information
• Review expense reports
• Responsible for daily mail and AP inbox for the accounting department
• Electronically archive and file invoices and other relevant documents
• Follow up on transport reports in collaboration with the logistics department
• Collaborate with existing teams on certain administrative tasks

• Professional diploma (DEP) in accounting or combination of relevant training and experience
• Min. 2 years' experience in accounting
• Experience with an ERP system - MS Dynamics considered a major asset
• Bilingualism French
  - English essential (minimum intermediate level) - spoken and written
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Attention to detail, meticulousness and ability to detect numerical errors
• Strong analytical skills
