In this role, you will be a pivotal part of Hitachi Energy's Transformer business, working within the power grid sector to ensure the seamless execution of plant operations. You will manage manufacturing data in SAP, including BOMs, routings, and materials, to support efficient production processes. Your work will contribute to the reliability and performance of the power grid by ensuring data accuracy and supporting production teams during technical changes.

- Manage and maintain product structures (BOMs) in SAP to ensure efficient plant operations.
- Create and update parts according to engineering requirements, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Define routings for mechanical and welded assemblies to support production teams.
- Generate material requirements in SAP and track delivery timelines and part availability.
- Process engineering change notices (ECNs) and manage impacts on materials and production.
- Act as a liaison between engineering, procurement, and production to resolve technical and supply‑related issues.
- Contribute to the improvement of planning tools and processes.
- Track non‑conformances (QN) in SAP and coordinate associated material requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
- Technical diploma in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or logistics.
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, bill of materials (BOMs), and mechanical and welded assembly processes.
- Experience with SAP is a strong asset.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Must be bilingual (French and English).
- Ability to work autonomously and make decisions.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
- Comfortable working in a hands‑on manufacturing environment.
