The Opportunity

As a Factory Recruiter based in Varennes, you will be the on‑site recruiter for our manufacturing operations, ensuring we attract and retain skilled professionals for unionized positions. This role is hands‑on and factory‑based, giving you direct access to the people and processes that keep production running smoothly.

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for unionized factory roles.
• Build strong relationships with hiring managers and union representatives.
• Conduct interviews and coordinate selection processes.
• Support onboarding and orientation for new employees.
• Assist with workforce planning and staffing strategies.
• Respond to HR inquiries and provide guidance on policies and procedures.
• Facilitate exit interviews and contribute to retention initiatives.
• Participate in HR projects to improve employee experience.
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

• Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
• Bachelor’s degree OR Certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in recruitment or HR roles.
• Fluent in French and English (spoken and written).
• Ability to work on‑site at the Varennes factory daily.
• Knowledge of unionized environments and labor relations is an asset.
